Marc Dull Highlights the 101st Amateur Field

June 15, 2018

The 101st Amateur Championship is being played June 21st-24th at the beautiful Concession Golf Club and Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Bradenton. 2017 Player of the Year, Marc Dull, highlights the field of 168 players. Most of the top amateurs of all ages in Florida comprise this year's championship field. Dull is looking to add the Amateur Championship to his already impressive list of titles including the 2018 FSGA Mid-Amateur Championship, 2017 FSGA Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Championship, and the 2018 Gasparilla Invitational. Dull was runner-up at this year's U.S. Four-Ball Championship held at Jupiter Hills in Tequesta, FL one month ago with his partner Chip Brooke who sits second on the current Player of the Year points lists behind his friend Dull.

This year's host clubs will be a very difficult test to the players this year. Not only will they play long, both courses will have extremely fast greens. Players will look to post a low score at the Ritz-Carlton which will likely play a shot or two easier than The Concession Golf Club. The Concession Golf Club will play at a maximum of 7,460 yards at a rating of 76.7 / 153 and the Ritz-Carlton Members Club will play approximately 7,375 yards at a rating of 75.5 / 132.
