17th Southeastern Challenge Match
October 19 - 20, 2019
Hosted in Georgia
The biennial-team competition pits Florida's top eight mid-amateurs and top four seniors, against their counterparts from the border states, Alabama and Georgia, and dates back to 1989, whenthe first matches were contested at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club, in Orlando.
The 2017 Player of the Year & 2018 Mid-Amateur Player of the Year, Marc Dull, holds a commanding lead in the Two-Year Points Lists and looks to make his second team. Both Joe Alfieri & Chip Brooke, represented Team Florida in 2017 and are well position in second and third to make a return trip.
On the Senior end, the 2018 Senior Player of the Year, Pete Williams leads the list. Don Whittemore & Bill Barnes, who squared off in a play-off at the 2018 Senior Amateur Championship, are neck and neck, 2,000 points behind Williams, in second and third place.
