Local Qualifying

  • 18 holes of stroke play at 2 qualifying sites
  • Cart fees are included in your qualifying fee
  • The number of qualifying spots will be posted at the host site and will be proportionate to other qualifying sites based on the size of the field
  • Ties for the last qualifying spot will also qualify (there are no playoffs)
  • Alternates will be determined by ordering the players that just missed qualifying, and ties for alternate spots will be broken by the USGA suggested method (last 9, last 6, last 3, etc.)

Entry Priority

  • Exempt players will be entered into the field on a first-come, first-served basis up to 75% (63 players) of the total field. Exempt players will be accepted first by tier one exemptions (see exemption table). Should the exemption limit not be reached by players falling in the tier one exemption criteria by the end of the entry priority deadline (May 8th), players in tier two (see exemption table) will then be accepted based on thier tier two WAGR standing.
  • Entries submitted by exempt players after the exemption limit has been reached will be placed into a qualifying location of their choice. Should the exempt limit not be reached, the remaining spots will be added to the local qualifying sites. If the exempt limit is reached before the entry deadline, and an exempt player subsequently withdraws, that spot will be offered to the next exempt player with an entry submitted. Once the entry deadline is passed, and an exempt player withdraws, that spot will be allocated to a qualifying site.
  • Players not meeting any of the exempt criteria must select one of the two qualifing sites available.
  • The FSGA may hold an undisclosed number of spots for exceptional circumstances.
